When he was elected to the Portland City Council, Randy Leonard promised to bring "Something Different," and he's delivered. Randy has taken on major economic development initiatives like the City's Renewable Fuels Standard, fought crime with cutting edge programs like Project 57, all while giving neighborhoods more tools to deal with misbehaving liquor establishments and pushing government agencies like the Portland Development Commission to be responsible with taxpayer dollars.

"Of all the commissioners, he gets the most credit for inspiring -- or should we say provoking -- a higher level of customer service at City Hall. On balance, in ultra-polite Portland, his pugnacity has been much more of a plus than a minus."
